Dedicated Player Program: For our U8 group (2012 born players,) we will continue to offer a Dedicated Player Program for those players who have been identified by the Technical Staff as requiring an additional challenge.  This group will train separately on a specific curriculum focused on their needs.  For the 2013 age group we will begin the process through the indoor season of identifying players who would make good candidates to enter into the Dedicated Player Program for Outdoor 2020. Our Grassroots Program will be a balanced program with players of all ability levels being grouped together to allow for the next possible experience.

Female Specific Programs: For U5 – U8, we will offer female-specific programming, and group them together to create an environment  aimed at meeting the specific needs demands of the female game.

Training Facility

All Training Sessions will be held at our home facility, the Edmonton Scottish Society (3105 - 101 Street SW).

The Society's on-site Edmonton Soccer Dome, Canada's Largest Air-Support Structure, will host all of our Indoor Training.

Edmonton Scottish United Soccer Club follows Canada Soccer's Pathway, which includes adherence to the Long-Term Player Development Model.

Led by our Grassroots Program Director and CSA 'A' License and Children’s License Holder David McCarthy, our program aligns with the Active Start and FUNdamental Best Practices outlined by Canada Soccer. Coach McCarthy leads our youngest players through developmentally-appropriate, fun and engaging activities and games designed to foster a love of sport, while improving fundamental movement skills.

Coach McCarthy also offers mentorship for interested parent-coaches; as a devoted Coach Educator and Learning Facilitator for the Alberta Soccer Association, our grassroots volunteers are afforded incredible support and guidance as they look to grow as youth soccer coaches.
